Find a DOT physical near you
FedEx Ground drivers need a DOT medical card from a certified medical examiner. Find one near you and know what to bring.
What to bring
- Your driver's license
- Glasses, contacts or hearing aids if you use them
- A list of your medicines and doses
- Notes from your doctor for ongoing conditions (for example diabetes, sleep apnea or heart conditions)
What they check
- Vision (at least 20/40 in each eye, glasses allowed)
- Hearing
- Blood pressure and pulse
- A urine test for health markers (not a drug test)
- A short health history and exam
A clean exam gets a card good for up to 24 months. Prices vary by clinic, so ask when you call, and ask your contractor whether they pay for it.
