The first 30 days with a driver recruiter: realistic expectations

A day-by-day timeline of the first month with a delivery driver recruiting service, including the First Advantage authorized-user wait nobody controls.

Day 1

Agreement signed, portal opened, market analysis delivered, First Advantage authorized-user paperwork submitted on your account.

Days 1 to 14

First Advantage approves the authorized user. Sometimes a day, sometimes two weeks; it is their queue. Sourcing and phone screens run anyway so there is a line waiting.

Days 2 to 5

Ads live on Indeed and other boards. First applications the same day; phone screens within two business days.

Once approved

Screened candidates authorized for background, MVR, drug screen and, for FedEx, DOT medical card. Clean single-state histories clear in days; multi-state histories take longer.

Days 10 to 30

First candidates marked road-test-ready with contact details released in your portal. Interview, road test, hire.

Why we put this in the agreement

Customers who expect five drivers in week one are disappointed by week two and gone by week four. Customers who know the timeline plan around it. If setup obligations keep us from the target in the ramp-up period, we review the first cycle together and may credit up to 25 percent of the service fee.

Need road-test-ready drivers?

Plans from $399 a month for Amazon DSPs and $449 for FedEx Ground ISPs, with a guaranteed minimum of candidates.
